Master’s in Clinical Dentistry

We have designed six Master’s in Clinical Dentistry programmes that are career focused and highly relevant to today’s dental practitioners, including; Endodontology, Implantology, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Oral Surgery, Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry and Periodontology

Develop clinical expertise

You will be trained to proficiently carry out the role of a dental therapist including routine treatments such as simple fillings, applying fluoride and taking x-rays. You will develop clinical expertise in a simulated setting before undertaking patient care.

Preparing you for practice

This newly launched degree programme will provide you with an excellent foundation in the knowledge and skills required for this in-demand role and will encourage you to work independently, preparing you for practice as a dental therapist with direct access to patients.

Suitable for busy clinicians opting to undertake further study while they work, if you are studying a three year programme part-time options are usually taught in three, week-long teaching blocks in years one and two.

Full-time, with a UK clinical placement

In addition to the intensive teaching blocks and practical work mentioned above, you will attend seminars and workshops and a clinical placement in our regional outreach clinics over 30 weeks per year.

Full-time, with an international clinical placement

This pioneering variant offers the opportunity to study in the UK as outlined above, as well as undertake a clinical placement in a European country.
